TV Stand - Final Piece (5 of 6)

The TV stand is similar to the coffee table with somethings added and taken away from it.

To create a TV Stand for my living room I started just a cube.

I then changed the size of the cube to 120m on the X axis, 30m on the Y axis and 70m on the Z axis.  Now the shape is a cuboid and not a cube.

I then selected the Face Tool and selected the front and the back face of the cuboid.

Then with the faces still selected I used the Extrude Inner tool and put the offset to 2.5m

I then got rid of the selected faces by pressing delete on the keyboard it then removed it so then there is a gap all the way through.

In these 2 pictures where the back face was you can see where you extruded in, so to change this and make it not visible I used the Bridge Tool and drag it from corner to corner and it patches it up.

In then used the Bevel Tool to get that look on the table but I had to select the edges first  and to do that I had to use the Loop Selection tool for the edges on the front and back then used Live Selection for the side edges.  Then changed Bevel settings to Inner offset to 0.4m added 2 subdivisions and changed the type from Linear to Convex.

Up to now everything was the same as the Coffee Table except the bottom bit where there was a bit of extrusion which I didn't use for the TV Stand everything from after is different to the coffee table.

I then scaled the it up so that the height of it was bigger so that you could put more stuff in it.

Then I added a Plane so that it looks like a shelf that you could have a DVD player on it or a game console.

I then added the same wood colour as the coffee table so that the furniture matched and it didn't look odd.  This is what it looked like when it was finished.
