The task today was to make a faucet and some taps on Cinema4D so that we could get some practice with the software.
Faucet
Faucet
I started off with a cube and changed the size of the cube to 1000m on the X axis, 20m on the Y axis and 300m on the 300m and then on the X axis you need to have 8 segments, 3 segments then 3 on the Z axis. When you have done that it should look like the image below.
Once your cube looks like this you then need to create the neck for the faucet, you need to switch to Polygon Mode and use the Live Selection tool, then select the four forward middle polygons then you extrude it by changing to Extrude Tool and then input 150m into the Offset Field.
This is how the start of the neck should look from doing the steps above. You now need to rotate the first part of the neck by 30 degrees and you can do this by entering 30 in the Coordinates Manager and the P under Rotation.
This is what it looks like when it been rotated by 30 degrees next step is to Extrude it by 150m.
Now that you have extruded it you need to rotate it again by 30 degrees.
Now that it has been rotated, once again you need to extrude it by 150m
There is a lot of extruding and rotating to create the neck. Now you need to rotate it 20 degrees .
Now that you rotated it by 20 degrees you then need to go too Normal Scale and scale the polygons by 50%.
This is how it should look when you have scaled down the polygons by 50%. After you scale it down you need to extrude it again by 200m.
Now that you have extruded it you need to rotate it by 10 degrees for P in the Coordinates Manager.
Now that it has been rotated, you then need to extrude it by 100m and then extrude it again by 150m, so then that there is enough room for the spout.
This is how it look when it has been extruded by 100m.

And this is how it looks when you have added the extra 150m to the 100m. Next step is to create the spout for the faucet.
Select the bottom 2 polygons with Live Selection Tool and make sure the Polygons Tool is selected and Extrude it by 100m.
You then need to switch to Extrude Inner and input 30m into the Offset Field.
If you then switch back to Extrude and then insert -150m into the Offset Field then it makes a hole for where the water would come out.
Then you create a HyperNURB and drop the cube into the HyperNURB this is how the faucet should look.
The next steps are to show how I made the knobs.
Knobs
If you start off with a Cube and select all the side faces of the cube when in Polygon Mode and then Extrude by 150m.

The next step is to go too Normal Scale Tool and scale it down to 50%.
With all the side faces still selected Extrude the polygons by 50m.

Then switch back to Normal Scale Tool after you extruded the faces and scale up the polygons by 200%.

Then extrude the polygons by 200m.
Then select the top middle polygon with the Live Selection Tool and Extrude it by 10m.
Then select the bottom middle polygon and extrude it by 200m.
Then extrude it again by another 200m.
The scale the last extrusion by 200%.
The last extrusion will be of 10m.
If you then create and HyperNURB and drop the cube into it the tap should look like that. Then put the tap on the faucet at the position X=400, Y=255 and Z=0 make sure you scale down the knob because at first it will be a bit to big. Then to create a second knob if you create a Symmetry Object and drop the knob into the Symmetry and then there will be 2 knobs on the faucet.

I added and metal material to my faucet and knobs to make it look like its a real set that you would see at a sink. Here are 3 pictures of how it looked when I had finished it.
