Glass (Practice)

We had another task to do on Cinema4D and we had to make a glass.

Glass

This is the glass I am going to be using and to import the glass you firstly need to change the view and go into Front View  and whilst in front view you need to click Shift & V to bring up a menu then you need to select Back which is at the top of the menu.  Then there is an image bar where you can import an image that you want to use, then you can turn up the transparency.

After you have turned the transparency up it will be easier when you use the Bezier Spline and you have to then go around to a little bit of the glass so that then there is the gap in the middle so you can drink from it, if you cover half the glass with the spline it will then cover the whole top and it will just be a solid object.

Now that you have put the Bezier Spline around the image you then need to create a LatheNURB you then need to drop the spline into the LatheNURB when in Front View this is how it should look once the spline has been placed in the LatheNURB.

Then when you go to Perspective Mode with glass should look like this with the LatheNURB.

I then added in some wine into the glass and to do this I did the same think with the spline in Front Mode but put the Bezier Spline inside of glass and covered half of the glass with the spline so there was no wholes in the wine.  I then created another LatheNURB and added the spline into it.

I added a glass material to the glass so that it look realistic and I then I added a colour to the wine so that the glass looked full of wine.  This is a picture of what it looked like when I had finished the glass.
